The Hot Stuff satchel also fits the bill. This dark leather purse might seem overly basic at first glance, but don’t overlook the details that make it worth the price. I would even suggest using it as an overnight bag if you’re generally a light packer.

Unlike some of Francesco Biasia’s handbags, the Hot Stuff satchel is made from real leather giving it the mid-range designer price of $498. I love the gunmetal hardware on the handle rings, decorative studs, and flap-lock closure bearing the signature logo. Tone on tone stitching adds some subtle detail as well as the delicate pleating on the front.

As far as storage goes, you’ll find exterior flap pockets and multiple interior pockets including one for you PDA. Let’s not forget the roomy inside compartment that makes the Hot Stuff fit the extra-large category. This Francesco Biasia satchel also comes in dark gray.

I’m not always a fan of logos and names branded onto handbags. With bags like the Choose Juicy tote, Juicy Couture is one of fashion’s biggest offenders on this account. However, the popular brand has marked its territory along with almost every product they produce and created quite a following with their signature style.

Despite the superfluous logo, I find myself drawn to the Daphne Tassel handbag. The deep red velour looks so rich and is wonderfully complemented by the dark brown leather trim and embroidered logo. The bright yellow “gilded” color option that is also available is not my taste, but the dark blue is rather pretty and the heather gray option is nice, too. Some tones just don’t work well on velour, but jewel shades are fabulous for the soft material. The dark wine-color on the Daphne is a great example.

Like all Juicy handbags, there are fun details that make this satchel unique to the brand. Hanging from one of the handle rings, you’ll find a jeweled ribbon and a shiny, gold-toned tassel that coordinates with the rest of the Daphne’s hardware. Next to the Juicy Couture logo, a red embroidered rose adds a touch of femininity.

The inside is lined in signature Juicy fabric. Fun phrases are stamped on the interior pockets to denote their uses. A zippered pocket perfect for holding cash and change urges the owner to “Shop!”. A cell phone slip pocket poses the greeting “Hello?”. I haven’t found another brand that has tongue-in-cheek humor engraved on their bags. Only Juicy Couture pulls off funky details like that and remains firmly planted in the fashion world. The small Daphne Tassel Satchel retails for $195.

The Ludlow has a real Anya Hindmarch feel with its large contrasting colored panels and shiny rectangular buckle. The color combinations are a daringly different, so there is something for everybody. The tri-colored Majesty and Cognac bags are a little busy for my tastes, but the two-toned Cranberry and Azure purses are stunning in their simplicity.

The front flap hides a magnetic closure for secure storage. Lift it up to reveal the medium-sized interior, which is perfect for everyday use without weighing you down. There’s not a lot in the way of organizational features, but a zippered wall pocket is always a welcome addition.

The Ludlow comes with a short strap for carrying in your hand, and a longer removable one. The detachable strap is adjustable: wear it on the first notch to sling the bag over your shoulder or extend it for cross-body travel. While these options are practical, I’m not sure how well they’d gel with the Ludlow’s retro look. Personally I’d opt for handheld carrying to keep this bag looking its cutest.

There’s a lot to like about the Rafe Emma convertible shoulder bag, but the price isn’t so endearing. At $525, I’d hope for genuine croc instead of this embossed leather. I could part with that money for an authentic exotic or a more versatile purse, but I’d struggle to justify that price for a leather bag which will only come out after five.
