Why is it so great? The envelope style fold-over clasp hits every trend, all encompassed within a graphic and defined design. The simplicity is what makes it great; the lines are clean and refined. All the work is left to the deep color and structured brushed metal clasp.

The clasp is in fact a major feature of this bag. Against the blank canvas of the solid block color it looks great, as well as being quite a conversation piece! This clutch is quite different to Kenneth Cole’s other work; it is much less conventional, and much more “wow!”.

The bag is available in three bright and vibrant shades: the plum purple you see here, a burnt sienna orange, and a deep black/gray. These options are my main hesitation; the brightness of the color is great, but I would have liked to see either some more common options, or a block area that doesn’t have the same strange tone.

That aside, this bag is stunning! A saucy statement item to raise eyebrows and impress the crowds.

With a flash of fresh color, this Roxy Baby cosmetics case from Big Buddha is impossible to ignore.

The shades are daring: fuschia pink, aqua blue, and lime green. These metallic tones are bound to be a hit with teens, but older folks may long for something a little more subdued. Personally I like to carry a little color stashed away in my handbag, especially if I’m supposed to dress down!

A zippered pocket on the back of the purse is the Roxy Baby’s only organizational feature. I don’t feel like a cosmetics case needs a lot of pouches or pockets, particularly when it’s on the small side as this one is, but others may feel differently. I’m much more interested in the easy-clean smooth metallic interior. Any makeup spills should simply wipe away with a damp cloth.

If you like the look of the Roxy Baby, you may be interested in the larger tote. I prefer my glitz in smaller doses, but there’s no doubting its impact!

Not for the faint of heart, Lanvin has pulled off another stunner. The Lanvin Liz Pouchette is embellished and detailed to the nines with a 1920s aesthetic sure to have fans of the period swooning.

Let’s dig right in, shall we? The black satin bag features brown plastic gemstones and white pearl accents on the front, as well as an exposed zip closure, gold-tone chain-link wrist strap and a black tassel pom-pom. It’s a lot of detail for sure, but it all works together and is too much in only the best sense.

Though I’m really not sure why, home shopping channel QVC seems to be quite popular in the fashion world right now. Big names like Erin Fetherston and Rachel Zoe have landed deals with the company, and even Betsey Johnson is practically begging for a diffusion line with them.

Well, one of the newest debuts on the channel came from environmentally-friendly handbag company Rebagz, which we know and love for its recycled juice pack purses. The Eco-Chic line made its debut on QVC yesterday as part of the “Green Living” show with the brand’s Magnolia, Jasmine, and Sun Rice styles.

Rebagz creator Marty Stevens-Heebner, a designer with a message, had this to say about the joint effort:

“QVC is the perfect showcase for our beautiful bags because it provides us with the chance to tell our story to millions of home shoppers,” said Stevens-Heebner. “We believe in style as much as sustainability and I hope that by reaching QVC’s large audience we’ll get more shoppers to think about how their handbags are made and who’s making them.”

I love retro style straw clutches, and this delightful earthy example fits the bill perfectly. Basket bags are hot stuff for summer, and they allow smart clutches to effortlessly transpose into elegant day-wear.

The quirky leather touches on this little retro clutch are adorable. Available in either fuchsia or yellow, the little hinges with exaggerated stitching and studs are a great feature. Even better is the over-sized metal buckle! I wish I cold justify a new handbag for my holiday!

Tod’s is known for creating beautiful luxurious simple accessories that women all over the world love. Their leathergoods are some of the finest available, which is why I am so intrigued when they choose to make things of other materials, such as this Pashmy Luna Nylon Media Bag.

Pashmy is the name of this line of bags, and Luna definitely refers to the half moon shape of this satchel. Media bags, originally a description used for camera and laptop bags, usually contain a variety of organizational compartments, and this one is no exception. I am pleasantly surprised by the remarkably utilitarian design of this bag, which is unusual for a luxury goods line such as Tod’s.

There are three exterior zippered compartments, perfect for keeping all your essentials organized and available. There is an additional interior zipped pocket, and a zipper along the sides of the bag extends the size, which makes it great whether you need to carry a little or a lot. The patent handles will also be a help there, as they are both super durable and adjustble.

Practical as it is, the Pashmy Luna isn’t bad in terms of looks, either. The deep chocolately brown is rich, and the patent trim details add the perfect amount of shine. I love the intricate tonal topstitching, it creates an almost quilted look to the bag, but still stays modern.

This is a practical and minimal bag for a woman on the go who is more concerned with a bag’s functionality than its status.

This just might be the best-looking Kathy Van Zeeland handbag I’ve seen. Her usual style is sometimes a tad too fussy and overdone for my taste, but I really like the easy style of this High Five Top Zip bag.

It still has the designer’s signature details like bold hardware, a large logo plate, and a hint of metallic. However, everything blends together so well that I probably wouldn’t recognize it as one of Van Zeeland’s designs if not for the oversized “Kathy” on the front.

The High Five collection has several other styles including a shopper and hobo, but the Top Zip handbag is my favorite by far with its rounded, slightly contemporary shape. It is also available in dark red, black, and deep blue patent finishes. This white version has the crispest look, though.

The stark-white color might not stay this clean-looking if you’re a regular bag abuser. However, it will look fabulous at first and will stay chic with a little care. The synthetic material also might not hold up as well as a real leather handbag, but it won’t hurt your pocketbook too much as it only retails for $79.

The first thing you’ll notice is that soft, supple leather. The buttery soft calfskin is available in a range of colors, from conservative black and brandy brown to fresh mint green and laguna blue. There are six shades in all, so you’re sure to find something to suit you. Shiny satin gold hardware dresses up the colored leather finish. I’m not sure about the horseshoes, but they might bring you good luck!

The Toulousse isn’t just a pretty face; it’s incredibly practical too. It all starts with the deep side pockets, designed to stash all those girly goodies you need on hand. Pop open the magnetic snap to reveal the luxuriously large interior space. Spacious purses can often become unmanageable, but not this one. A large zippered envelope sits in the center of the Toulousse, dividing it into three handy compartments. The side walls have slip and zip pouches, so there’s literally a place for everything. The most challenging part is remembering where you’ve put that ringing cell phone!

The dual handles look so modern with their belted ends, but practicality wasn’t forgotten here either. The centers are rolled so they’ll feel as comfortable on your shoulder as they do in your hands.

Leave it to the big designer names to pull out all the stops for their collections. Following in the footsteps of Chanel, luxury brand Fendi has released what has to be the most stylish bicycle I’ve ever seen.

The new Fendi Abici Amante Donna is probably as chic as cycling can get with its crisp cream body and Fendi accessories. They’re not the first to have the idea, though. Chanel similarly released a collection of bikes last year.

However, Fendi’s take on the two-wheeled transportation is much more appealing to me because of its slightly vintage vibe. Can’t you imagine Audrey Hepburn taking a casual trip through the streets of Rome on this thing?

This kind of on-the-road style doesn’t come cheap, of course. The Fendi Abici Amante Donna has two options. One has a leather case attached and retails for $5,900. The more expensive version, which includes the leather storage plus fur saddlebags, runs for $9,500. That’s a lot pennies, people.

Some might call it a waste of cash. If you can afford it and if you’re in on the eco-friendly trend of bicyling instead of driving, though, this bike just might be worth it. It is Fendi, after all. If you’d rather have a Fendi you can carry, you might opt for the Patent Peek-a-Boo instead.
