I’ve come to learn not to expect any certain style from Big Buddha. They’ve got everything from snakeskin to straw purses, but I have to admit that this Rosy shoulder bag took me by surprise a bit.

Floral is one look I haven’t seen from them, though I know I’m not familiar with all of Big Buddha’s styles. Their version of floral, however, isn’t what you might have in mind. This is no Kate Spade tote covered in lilies. The Rosy’s pattern is much more contemporary and even abstract in design.

In bright orange with a gray background, the printed fabric really pops. Most of the handbag is constructed from fabric, but it is trimmed in synthetic leather with silver-toned hardware.

Although it’s considered midsized, the Rosy is quite a decent size in my opinion. There’s plenty of room in the slouchy, lined interior with its obligatory zippered pocket. If you’re looking for a casual, everyday tote under $100, this Big Buddha bag is one to consider.

It’s available in a range of shades, but there’s something so deliciously girly about this pink, orange, and white combo. The daring leaf print is smattered with unobtrusive “Emilio” signatures.

The traditional boxy tote shape is jazzed up with a contemporary curved top, which is reinforced with hot pink patent leather for strength and style. The casual terrycloth exterior gives way to a practical vinyl lining inside. It may not be the most luxurious choice, but you won’t mind when you’re easily wiping up sunscreen and soda spills.

The skinny patent leather straps probably won’t feel comfortable on bare summer shoulders, especially when this Leite tote is filled to the brim. But at least they’re long enough to carry that way, unlike so many other tote bags.

Love Moschino, sister brand of Cheap n Chic and handbag royalty Moschino, is a hip and happening handbag creator that likes to give a unique twist to traditional designs.

This tote from the Vernice and Vitello range is channeling (no pun intended) the Chanel artistry of quilted patent leather, a high impact look that tends to product stylish and comfortable purses. The quilting on this piece is quite superb, creating a glossy bubbled look with neat stitching and plenty of wow-factor.

To add to the somewhat traditional quilted leather style, Love Moschino have contrasted the patent with a matte navy and red corner trim and feature pocket. I don’t quite understand the addition of navy, which makes this handbag a little over crowded, but do agree that the red trim adds a certain panache. This is most effective on the spacious front pocket with its designer buckle and roomy shape.

Whilst the looks are not for everyone, not many people will have much to complain about with the practicality and additional touches to this designer bag. To name but a few, this bag has inner and outer pockets with cute red leather tags, plenty of room, and dual handles. The second handle, a durable duffel bag strap, may not be the most stylish or coordinating part of the bag but will make life easier when that tote is stuffed to the max!

This is a pricey but interesting hold-all, overloaded with features and practical additions.
