Elliott Lucca gives us its take on the oversized trend with the Bari shopper. Named after an Italian province, this minimalistic shopper oozes everyday European style.

The design is simple and chic, with only a small logo plate and some subtle ruching near the base to jazz things up. By keeping the style basic, Elliott Lucca can offer the Bari in some bold springtime colors. The delicious sounding shades include lime, plum, and this sexy persimmon orange.

The Bari is massive, offering ample room to carry your everyday essentials and your latest purchases home from the mall. I’m not sure how you keep a space so large organized, but slip and zip pockets in the side walls do their best to keep clutter in check.

Such an enormous bag calls for some serious shoulder straps, and these long dual handles are up to the challenge. They’re made from the same soft leather the body is, so they almost beg to be carried.

The Bari is reasonably priced for an Elliott Lucca purse with a retail value of $238.

Matt & Nat have been doing the eco-friendly thing in fashion for a while now. They’ve got to be best pals with PETA, too, for their outspoken campaign against use of leather and fur.

Well, they’re sure to be getting some extra brownie points with both animal lovers and fashionistas alike (especially when the two are combined) for their latest collection. For their fall/winter 09 line, Matt & Nat has included a new faux suede made from 100% recycled bottles.

Though I haven’t been lucky enough to get my hands on one of these handbags to see how much they feel like the real thing, I suppose that’s not the most important thing here. The best part is that these new fall bags, new faux suede and signature vegan leather, are gorgeous. They’ve got all the markings of a Matt & Nat purse with some lovely autumn and winter colors like this moss green satchel shown above.

This might be the least Harveys looking seatbelt bag I’ve come across. However, the fact that it’s meant to be a handbag supplement and not the main thing itself might have something to do with that.

Instead of the woven seatbelts we’re used to seeing, the Baby Pack just has one running vertically from the front to the back. The rest of the bag is made from logo-printed fabric that looks as durable and stain-resistant as the traditional seatbelts.

The Baby Pack is perfect for those on-the-go days when you’ve got baby along. With its changing pad and extra room for other necessities, you won’t have to go digging through a bulky diaper bag when you need to grab something. Of course, it won’t work for long outings when you need more than a couple of diapers and wipes on hand, but it’s definitely worth it for quick trips.

Harveys didn’t forget fashion when they made this pack for moms. The color combination of red and silver is chic and simple. This drawstring tote retails for an affordable $38.

Lovcat have created a cute wallet-like clutch to see girls through the coming Fall/Winter season. In glossy ruby red fabric, the stylish fold over clutch is a bright statement piece that is choc-a-bloc with love!

The heart motif pattern embossed on the leather may be a little too soppy for some, especially in combination with the glitzy gold decorative heart clasp. It could be worse (a lot worse!), and if kitsch statements are your thing then the heart theme may be just right.

This Glam-O-Rose purse is a good shape for sophisticated evenings out, which is perhaps what saves its over-decoration from being over-powering. With the square shape and thin slender design, it does manage to look both cute and classy at the same time, although my personal leaning is always more towards silver than gold in an already dramatic handbag.

At an expensive $145, this glamorous clutch will easily see you through a number of seasons and a variety of situations. Wearing your heart on your sleeve seems to be this season’s trend!

Bottega Veneta has given its popular Cabat handbag a New York makeover for the NYCabat, a strictly limited edition purse from the Cruise 2009/2010 collection. Only 50 NYCabats will be sold exclusively through the brand’s New York City store.

The new NYCabat is crafted from intrecciato nappa leather. By hand-brushing the leather using a technique inspired by traditional shoemaking, the black pigment on the surface gives way to a bright yellow below. This black and yellow color combination calls to mind the iconic New York taxi cabs.

“I loved the graphic black and yellow of the taxi cabs when I first visited New York City in the 1970s,” explained creative director Tomas Maier. “For me, as for many others, the taxi was shorthand for New York: bold, unyielding, exhilarating, a vehicle, quite literally, to so many possibilities. The new Cabat reflects my feeling that, as much as the city and the world have changed, New York remains incredibly vibrant.”

Each NYCabat will have the city and individual number inscribed on a sterling silver plate inside. Preorders of this strictly limited handbag will be accepted through Bottega Veneta’s 5th Avenue store. It will hit shelves, albeit briefly, in November.

Diesel claims you’ll never want to let its Lock In Embrace door satchel go. While that level of love may be a little excessive, this is one of the better bags we’ve seen from the brand.

Diesel is known for its contemporary accessories which tap into modern trends. Yet often the brand tends to be a little too modern for its own good, creating the kind of purses we’ll carry one season, but ditch the next. So it’s surprising to see Diesel strike the right balance here.

The circular turn-lock closure is an interesting take on one of this season’s trends. It coordinates with the leather finish of this flint gray bag, but pops on the other shades. They include classic black, and the unexpected but still conservative colors: roan rouge and honey yellow.

This roomy bag has loads of space, and the features we need to make the most of it. There are two main compartments, and a few more pockets besides. You can keep your iPod and cell phone in one section and your water bottle in the other, so you don’t have to worry about spills. The front also has a zippered compartment and a flap pouch for stashing the essentials you need on hand.

The Lock In Embrace Door Satchel looks a little too casual to be truly versatile, but it may just become your go-to day bag.

As far as evening bags go, this one is a basic. Leave it to La Regale to make sure you’ve got your traditional, pretty-but-somewhat-predictable handbag for that special occasion. The brand is well-known for their classic designs like this Rhine Frame clutch.

Don’t get me wrong, though. They’ve got a few unexpected styles like the rather ostentatious Beaded Floral Purse and the Heart Handbag. However, the Rhine Frame Bead design is much more in line with what I tend to see from La Regale.

We all need an elegant evening bag in our wardrobe, so don’t be quick to count out this one as an option. I guess some might think it’s a tad mumsy, but there are some very nice qualities to it. The wavy pattern on the beads, for instance, is an unusual twist that I like. The crystal-studded clasp closure on top is a great feature as well, though I wouldn’t necessarily call that one unusual for this type of handbag.

As I’d expect from a clutch nowadays, La Regale has provided the Rhine purse with an optional chain strap that has the perfect thickness for this delicate bag. If the gold is just too traditional for you, you could opt instead for the black or silver beads.
