A little fringe goes a long way, according to my personal fashion taste, but evidently Melie Bianco thinks otherwise. I’m not sure this Multi-Color Fringe Clutch has space for any more of the detail on it.

Though the fringe might be a little overkill with this handbag, Melie Bianco isn’t the first brand to go overboard with the style. with a similarly fringed-out body, the Kate Spade Yuma Loren Clutch is equally excessive.

On this clutch, though, the feature is broken up by a pattern of colors that helps to calm the overwhelming look a bit. Melie Bianco offers the rainbow pattern in a few different variations including a neutral blend of black, brown, gray, and taupe as well as a bright berry-colored pattern of purple, red, pink, and tan. This green, blue, and brown version, however, seems to fit the best with the ultra-bohemian vibe of the purse.

The Multi-Color Fringe Clutch is technically considered a convertible handbag since it can be carried in the hand or worn on the shoulder or across the body with the detachable chain strap. Personally, I think that the strap, however, flimsy it might be, is probably the best choice given the size of the bag and the possible bulkiness of the fringed body.

This acutely mustard Jessica Simpson clutch may actually manage to give a whole new vibe to that old decorative favorite, the bow.

Escaping the depressingly cute associations of a big floppy bow is a difficult feat in this eighties loving day and age, but thankfully Jessica Simpson has found a way to buck the trend. By combining multiple stylised bows with a layered woven collection of extras, the emphasis is not on the bows themselves, but on the overall textured impression.

Whilst mustard yellow may not be everyone’s cup of tea, the bright shade works well with the raised surface of this cute purse, allowing more contrast between light and dark shadows. It also means that this clutch will catch people’s eyes, and can be used very effectively to highlight, clash or coordinate with accessories.

The interior of the bag can’t quite continue that external sophistication, instead resorting to that typical and somewhat saccharine Jessica Simpson style tartan fabric. It is a shame, as elsewhere this purse is a respectable classy object, not something sickeningly sweet.

You can’t wear the Ashton cross-body style, but the 8.5 inch drop should allow most of us to comfortably carry it over our shoulder.

This raspberry shade is strikingly different, but it’s not your only option. The blue is just as vibrant, while the white offers a more reserved choice.

Eenamaria delivers another fun retro purse with this All-Night Clubber. But does it live up to its promise?

This purse has such a fun 1960s vibe. The bright blue synthetic has a sexy patent sheen, which complements the gleaming square buckle. The chunky flap design and short curved handle help to complete the undeniably retro look.

But an all-night clubber? I don’t think so. While the short handle delivers mod cred, it’s never going to help us party all night. I’d prefer a much longer cross-body strap when I step out on the dance floor, or at the very least a strap long enough to sling over my shoulder. How am I supposed to bust a move with a purse in one hand?

At least there’s enough space inside for those party goodies. While it’s not massive, there’s more room than the average evening bag. This gives you the freedom to carry the cosmetics and headache pills you’ll probably need once the night wears on.

It may not be deserving of the All-Night Clubber moniker, but this is still a super cute purse. I just wouldn’t recommend carrying it on a big night out.

Mulberry isn’t the only designer brand to release a collection of stylish bags for technology-loving fashionistas. Gwen Stefani and her bevy of quirky brands, L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers, have expanded their lines as well to include a new collection specifically for Apple products.

The recently released line, created with the help of Schifter + Partners, includes multiple gadget-holding bags such as computer sleeves for the MacBook, pouches for your Apple gadgets, and clutch bags the perfect size for your iPhone. Each style features the kind of trendy, unique print you’d expect from the two brands.

“We’re very excited to be launching an electronics accessories collection for the Holiday season that is specifically designed for Apple products. They are the absolute best at what they do,” says Schifter + Partners Chairman and CEO, Tim Schifter.

The two lines are currently available on Apple’s online store and are set to hit Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and Nordstrom soon.

If Big Buddha was attempting to go simplistic with this Hillary Satchel, I’d say that they hit the mark. Although there are some nice qualities to the handbag’s design, the overall look is understated and sort of classic.

That doesn’t mean that the details on the Hillary are small and go completely unnoticed, however. Instead of finding simple ways to incorporate intricate details, Big Buddha opted for two vertical rows of oversized studs and circular handle rings.

The ruching that slightly gathers the synthetic material underneath the double handles adds just enough slouch to make the Hillary seem comfortable and casual without taking it to a completely laid-back, bohemian place. That allows for a somewhat versatile handbag. I can imagine carrying this satchel around town or out to dinner.

The bright yellow color is a tad jarring to me given the large size of the bag and the current season, but warmer weather will probably be here sooner than I realize. It’s never too early to start thinking about spring accessories, especially given the abundance of them on the market right now. This manmade Hillary satchel retails for a quite palatable price of $90.

It might scream far too loudly for many bagistas, but there’s definitely no ignoring the Queena satchel from Ed Hardy.

Ed Hardy is a label that doesn’t believe in subtlety. While most high-end designers prefer to choose just one accent, on the Queena we see logo-quilted cotton canvas, edgy skull graphics, patent-like trim and a smattering of studs combined. Whether you think it works will probably depend on whether you’re a fan of the brand. It’s awfully busy, but for Ed Hardy devotees that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Whether you love the look or not, it’s easy to appreciate the practical styling. Gusseted pockets on the side and zippered ones on the front and back give us a few options for stashing the things we need on hand. And that’s all before we even get inside. There are plenty of pouches there too of both the zip and slip variety, not to mention a generous amount of storage space.

The removable shoulder strap is another functional touch, giving us the option of cross-body carrying or over-the-shoulder toting.

There are a lot of things to like about the Queena, but the price isn’t one of them. While $220 isn’t exactly expensive in the designer handbag world, it seems a little steep for canvas and synthetic.
