San Francisco-based fashion house Timbuk2 has added this cute messenger to its Hidden collection. It looks like any ordinary messenger at first glance, but fold it up and you can stuff it inside its own palm-sized pouch. That makes it perfect for stashing inside any larger handbag, ready for use at the markets or grocery store.

Just like the rest of the Hidden line, this cute messenger is made from lightweight and tear-proof ripstop nylon. The eco-friendly brand makes 90% of the fabric from recycled PET bottles, and it’ll withstand a spin in the washing machine if it gets dirty.

The Hidden Messenger is available in four fun colors: purple, gray, lime, and this bold orange. Its shoulder strap is adjustable for comfort, the front pocket contains a handy organizer, and the buckles click shut for extra security.

This hobo bag is a lot more serious than most that we see from British designer Radley, but don’t think the label has lost its sense of humor.

It’s called a hobo, but the shape is a lot closer to the brand’s Lyric shoulder bag than any bohemian knapsack. There are curves to be sure, but they’re structured rather than slouchy. Contrasting top stitching along the center and around the handles gives this hobo a crafty, hand-made feel. This complements the whimsical corsage, which is cleverly made from colorful leather circles. The vibrant leather isn’t the only thing I prefer on this pinky red bag; its corsage is playfully spotted. The plain flower probably befits the black bag’s conservative nature, but it’s not quite as much fun!

Inside there’s all of the good humor we expect from Radley. The daisy patterned interior is adorable, and in durable canvas it’s made to last. There are two zippered pockets and a cell phone pouch inside, but if that’s not enough storage space look to the snap pockets on the side of the hobo.

The goal with this D&G handbag certainly isn’t to blend into a crowd. With this designer tote, you’re bound to attract some attention, but I’m guessing that most women who love this look would be completely fine with that.

Though not as much of a circus tent as some bright, multi-colored handbags, the D&G Dolce & Gabbana Estelle bag has quite the eye-catching combination of hues. Purple, dark blue, deep green, pink, red, and yellow are all included in the colorblocked design. I wouldn’t call the blend of shades seamless, but that doesn’t seem to be the goal anyway.

The bold appearance is taken to even greater heights with a super shiny patent effect on the calfskin leather. The brightness of the colors along with the light-reflecting sheen is a tad much for my taste.

However, I applaud D&G for its attempt at a little drama with the Estelle. It’s a tote that, once you’ve seen it, you’re not likely to forget anytime soon. Such a specific style isn’t worth it to me at $775, but you just might love it if noticeable is what you’re aiming for.

I am really fond of this smart design. What you see is a soft pastel fabric background, perfectly on trend for this season’s favorite floral shades and pastel hues. Then on top of the canvas is a faux leather cutout pattern depicting big stylized flowers. It is feminine and delicate, whilst the great combination of white and gentle pink is used brilliantly.

The shape of this bag makes it perfect for casual day wear. Leather-esque handles and a slouchy body are the easiest kind of handbag to carry for hours at a time, and this should last long enough to see in the summer at the very least. The matching pink lining conceals a zipped pocket, and there is enough room to store a decent amount, even if the lining will get stained easily.

It may not be real leather, but for $55 you wouldn’t expect it. Instead, what you have is a casual pastel hobo that is perfect for spring wear.

The eco-friendly green movement has a brand new friend: Two’s Company’s simple yet elegant handbags.

What makes these purses so environmentally friendly? Well, they are made out of a recycled tire. Yes, you heard me right; in a past life these minimalist bags were none other than car tires! It is hard to believe, but as soon as you touch the Re-Tire-D (geddit?!) clutch you realize that it is indeed made from stitched, tasseled and printed rubber, albeit far more fashionably that you would ever have considered possible!

Of course, we are no stranger to gimmicky bags made from all sorts of unusual materials. If you want peculiar, the handbag market can deliver! A chain shoulder strap is never the most practical choice, but it is the perfect foil for that gold-toned body. It does seem a little delicate though, so you may need to handle it with care.

Of course, too much golden glitz can overpower an outfit so I don’t mind that this bag is on the small side. It may be a challenge for some girls to work with, but so long as you stick to essentials (and I do mean essentials) you should have plenty of room. Just don’t try and cram a chunky wallet into this narrow space!

This stylish handbag is just one of the chic, and eco-friendly accessories in the conceptual Rilfa line by Scully. The collection was designed with cyclists in mind, but I’d say many fashionistas with an aversion to bikes will still want in on the action.

New Yorker Kathleen Scully was inspired to create the line after noting a need for cycling gear marrying style and safety.

“Riding around Brooklyn, I saw many women riding without helmets or any other safety gear,” she told Ecouterre. “I thought that if they had more stylish safety equipment to wear, then we could all be pretty and safe.”

The collection includes the bag, cute ankle booties, gloves, and a ventilated helmet cloche. Each is crafted from organic wool, vegan leather, and reflective trim for those night rides.

It’s all in the concept stage yet, but if the line goes into production Ms. Scully plans to offer a take-back program that will utilize scrap materials in future programs. I like what I see, so fingers crossed that the Rilfa line goes ahead.

Prada is revered as one of the ultimate fashion houses, but even such as esteemed brand can make a misstep. Honestly, with the Tessuto Pietre I’m not even sure Prada was trying.

The shape is basic, inoffensive and a little boring. The jewels seem designed to jazz things up, but these glittering gems simply seem tacked on. The whole effect is cheap and a little tawdry, especially considering Prada has opted for nylon rather than real leather.

I wouldn’t mind the fabric choice so much if we weren’t still paying leather prices. Prada has a hide to charge $1450 for this substandard bag. Amazon has discounted it by more than half, but even that seems a little hefty for this fairly average purse.

The only thing I really love is the chain strap. Practicality aside, it’s a gorgeous looking thing. Using differently shaped and sized links make this chain more eye-catching and modern than most. It probably won’t be any kinder on the shoulders than the average chain, but at least we can detach it for comfort as the night wears on.

The shoulder strap’s impressive, but the rest of this Prada purse isn’t. Something tells me only the brand’s most dedicated fans will fall for the Tessuto Pietre.

Melie Bianco gets it right with this All Over Pleated handbag that combines abstract design with casual fashion. Once again the brand offers its unique style for a very affordable price as well.

Budget fashionistas will be pleased with this pleated shoulder bag’s $95 price tag. Unlike most of Melie Bianco’s other designs, however, this one’s affordability isn’t due to faux leather material. Instead, the All Over Pleated purse is made from fabric.

The linen-looking material grants a light, airy appearance to the patchwork of pleats that cover the handbag. The fabric seems like the perfect choice for this look. In fact, because of the amount of pleated detail, I’m not sure that the bag would hold the same appeal for me if made from a heavier leather-like material instead, or at least it wouldn’t seem as appropriate for the upcoming season.

To complement the hint of metallic sheen to the fabric, Melie Bianco added a gold braided set of handles. I’m not a huge fan of such a shiny gold effect, but it’s not horrible on the All Over Pleated bag since the amount is limited. Plus, it seems to suit the cerulean blue seen here as well as the pretty lilac purple option.
