We all know Sandra Bullock is an altruistic lass. Following the actress’ $1 million donation to Haiti’s relief efforts, she’s teamed up with Coach for another cause close to her heart.

A percentage of sales of Sandra’s favorite Coach bags will benefit one of her favorite charities, the Beauty Bus Foundation. Getting sick is hardly glamorous, but this non-profit organization looks to make it a lot more stylish for home-bound, terminally, or chronically ill patients and their carers.

“We provide in-home beauty and grooming treatments, free of charge, to empower our clients, help them maintain dignity and give them respite during a difficult time,” explained a Beauty Bus Foundation spokesperson. “Our mission is to reach out to these compromised and isolated individuals and bring beauty into their lives in the comfort of their homes.“

To help out this cause, pick up a Madison tote or Kristin Hippie bag (or perhaps both!) from the Coach online store.

This blackened beauty is made from silk with a deep mottled finish. The soft surface is dotted with black sequins. There are many more sequins on the base than the side, which makes for interesting viewing. We’ve seen several designers adorning the bottoms of their bags (think of the Alexander Wang Coco), and I’m thrilled to see Santi jumping onto this burgeoning trend.

The satin lined interior isn’t spacious by any means, but it’s a little larger than many evening purses. You’ll still be restricted to essentials, but at least you won’t struggle to squeeze them in, or be forced to leave your favorite lipstick at home! It’s also large enough to hold the chain strap, which is ready to serve when the night wears on.

At $123, this Santi clutch isn’t the cheapest evening bag around. But if you’re looking for something a little different, the Nicole will do the job.

This spacious tote is just the thing for girls who like to shop, and to shop in style!

I really like the retro seventies feel to this woven straw shopper, which wouldn’t look out of place next to teak sideboards and garish olive green prints. This is in no way an insult; kitsch old-fashioned styles are incredibly popular, and you know they are always going to come back into fashion again! I also love the currently popular straw body, which although easily damaged really manages to finish the wood effect.

The vintage feeling is carried on in the Bakelite style handles. Although these look great they are going to be a little uncomfy if you fill the bag. That said, they do look great, and we all have to make sacrifices don’t we?!

Inside this remarkably affordable tote (which clocks in at $63) does show its less luxurious side, with a simple black lining that isn’t classy by any means. Still, it is hard to stain, and this is definitely an advantage.

All in all this is a smart unusual tote, with quite an executive feel.

Hot on the heels of the Rampage Rome tote comes this little clutch by the same name.

Where the wildly ruffled tote is elegant and feminine, I feel this clutch tries hard to be a little edgier. We can still see the same mix of patent and matte textures, just with the addition of some bright gold studs. As well as bringing in an eighties vibe, this ensures the clutch never looks too girly. I do wonder if feminine may have been a better fashion choice in order to match this season’s trends, although the bold attitude does seem to work.

Perhaps because the ruffles are on a smaller scale for this clutch, it is somewhat less obvious. This lets the red do the talking, and it doesn’t half talk loud! Thankfully the somewhat over-the-top snakeskin sections are muted by the other ruffles, meaning you don’t start going blind when you look at it! Those ruffles conceal what is actually a very spacious clutch, with an optional handle to boot. The solid rigid frame may not quite fit with the ruffled slouchy theme, but at least you have room to store your belongings.

This is a well thought through and reasonably affordable purse, which will be perfect for adding a frisson of excitement to smart evening outfits. The chain handle may look a little cheap, but otherwise this is a great and pretty all rounder.

Salvatore Ferragamo opts for timeless style over fashion fads with the Lina handbag.

Some might accuse it of being boring, but this of the kind of purse you can carry season after season, in any situation. There’s definitely a place for It bags, but an investment piece such as this is a must for any wardrobe.

The pebbled black leather finish is the ideal accompaniment to any outfit. The boxy shape isn’t very exciting, but the shiny silver O-ring adds a little interest. It really saves this bag from being completely snoozeworthy!

I’m a little surprised that luxury label Ferragamo has opted for cheap nylon lining, but I suppose to price this at $895 the brand had to cut a few corners. While that’s not exactly cheap, it’s a lot more affordable than many of the designer’s handbags! At least the interior has plenty of space and pockets, so it’ll prove to be practical if not entirely luxurious.

It probably won’t turn heads, but the Lina should stay in style much longer than those fashion show-stoppers!

Bebe is known for its lovely lingerie and gorgeous dresses, and now the label is adding handbags to its resume.

While the brand has released a limited number of handbags through its boutiques in the past, its new three-year partnership with the Accessory Network Group will see Bebe venturing into the accessory wholesale business for the first time.

The new bags include these Denim Darling purses, with their stylish quilting, chain handles, and heart-shaped accents. Other handbags in the range reflect Bebe’s flirtatious signature style with ruffles and bows. Bebe plans to release mini bags, satchels, and tote bags, all featuring customized hardware. We can expect to pay between $38 and $45 for small leather goods, between $58 and $128 for the PVC accessories, and up to $200 for the largest leather handbags.

We should see Bebe handbags in Bebe’s retail outlets and online store, selected department stores, and specialty outlets worldwide in July 2010.

Perforated leather is one of the hottest handbag trends of the season. While this faux version isn’t exactly the real deal, it’s stylish enough to suit until the trend is over.

Of course, Roxy’s decision to use faux leather rather than genuine calfskin helps to keep its junior line affordable. That’s a real plus for a bag which bends to suit current trends, rather than timeless style. At least if this fashion doesn’t last long, you won’t have spent a month’s rent on it!

While Roxy is a junior label, I’m sure most adults would happily sling this hobo over their shoulder. The white color and perforated leather give it a preppy appearance, ready for hitting the tennis courts or a country club luncheon.

The slouchy perforated sides contrast with the plainer center panel. This has a handy zippered pocket, perfect for stashing car keys and other items you want at your fingertips.

The white lined interior is spacious, if not entirely practical. A large zippered pocket and a couple of open slips help to keep your essentials in order, while the zip top closure keeps everything safely inside.

Just like the white lining, the white synthetic probably won’t look keep its good looks for too long. Without metal feet to protect the base, it’s bound to be grubby after a few outings, and the body is also sure to show stains in time.

But for just $34, I know I’d enjoy carrying the Rise Above hobo for as long as it looks good, or that synthetic holds up!

Israeli born beauty Bar Rafaeli is the face of Rampage’s spring 2010 campaign. I haven’t seen Bar in an advertising campaign for some time, and it’s great to see her back behind the camera.

There’s nothing revolutionary about this ad. In fact, it appears positively sedate by fashion standards. But vivacious Bar looks like a great fit for the youthful fashion line. She also seems to be a fan of the affordable label.

“Rampage’s spring collection is amazing. The flirty dresses, fabulous swimwear and great shorts are perfect for warm weather, parties and weekends,” she said.

And so is that sexy, slouchy hobo she’s carrying. The braid-accented flap really dresses up the tan fabric. Knowing Rampage, it’s probably synthetic, but from this distance it does a pretty convincing leather impersonation.

Photographer Gilles Bensimon snapped Bar in Paris Hilton’s former Los Angeles home. I’m not wowed by this ad, but Bar’s smile and that gorgeous Rampage handbag save it from being completely boring.

Roger Vivier walks on the wild side with this fun zebra print purse. But it’s not nearly as outrageous as it might have been.

We’re all familiar with the traditional black and white zebra stripes, but Roger Vivier opts for something a little unexpected here. The brown-toned stripes are more reserved, but no less dramatic. The shadowed stripes work with the textured optic leather to create a look which is more naturalistic than most zebra print purses tend to be.

The pattern shines thanks to the simple design. The rectangular shape, with its golden signature buckle, is classic. That will see this Belle Petit clutch work as easily with a tailored blazer and pencil skirt for a business luncheon or a little black dress for a cocktail party. The simplistic design also means we don’t have the shoulder strap we see on so many modern clutches, but I don’t mind too much. Something tells me this purse wouldn’t have quite the same appeal dangling idly from a shoulder.

I’d hand over my money right now, if only I could afford it. At $1057.50, this Roger Vivier clutch is definitely an elite fashion item.

Here we see that oh-so-familiar signature Coach print utilised on a teeny tiny wristlet.

I am actually very fond of this monochrome sixities inspired graphic print, and I do think it works quite well on such a small handbag. On big handbags there is the potential for a dramatic print like this to get a little overpowering, and I prefer the compact version to bigger Coach totes.

Of course, we all know the limitations of a wristlet. They aren’t practical, but they do come in handy for certain situations. In particular this turnlock wristlet will be useful to carry in a larger bag, allowing you to be prepared for day and evening handbag needs. The handle especially is a great luxury adaptation, working as a wristlet or a little handle.

Smart, expensive and respectable, this Coach wristlet is the epitome of handbag design and posh brandnames.
