The colorful exterior puts us in pit lane, with a scene showing a crew changing the tires of a racing car. Assorted dials and cars around the main print only add to the edgy auto appeal, while a smattering of Swarovski crystals delivers the necessary girly charm.

I expected such a large cosmetics bag would offer more functional features though. The bengaline lined space is perfectly plain, devoid of pockets or other containers to hold your make-up and toiletries. If you’re carrying large bottles and potions that probably won’t faze you, but if you tote tiny compacts of mascara and several tubes of gloss it’s bound to become frustrating.

At least M. Andonia doesn’t charge the earth for this simple cosmetics bag. At $89, high-octane girls will find it hard to resist.

Before I complain about the astronomical designer price tag, I have to say that the look of this bag is gorgeous. The edgy urban look won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but if you like a military style then it is practically perfect!

However, the King hobo is still expensive. There is no denying it, and no manner of impressive leathers and materials can justify such a big price tag. However, if you like to wear designer gear that no one around you will have, then this is a sure way to achieve those goals!

With a rock-chick studded handle and twisted design feature, this slouchy purse is the upmarket street kid’s bag of choice.

Valentino’s designs always make me gush. I want to be all objective and dispassionate, but there’s something about his romantic, feminine pieces that just make me go gooey. The Rosette bag is the perfect example.

There’s something so organic about the appearance of this bag that it almost looks alive. The delicate tulle rosettes have been rendered in subtle and breathtaking detail. They seem to compose the bag and float on top of it at the same time.

I know this is just a handbag, but it really looks like a work of art. The soft blush color is perfectly chosen to bring out the rosy glow in your skin. Despite its romantic looks, the Rosette isn’t impractical. The rosettes may be delicate, but the leather trim holds it together with a utilitarian air.

I think it’s easy to see that I am completely taken with this bag. Unfortunately, at $2,790, I’m not going to get to take it home anytime soon.

I can understand this; and for over $100 you may also want something with more space and more function than a clutch. However, I think the materials and the design make up for any doubts you may have. First comes the gorgeous pearl rose leather, which is soft and glossy. The combination is good, and the Paradise clutch does live up to the high expectations people have for clutches. However, despite the great contrasting lining and effortless style, Tusk has missed a trick with the function. After all, there is no concealed strap option, and that makes a bag really annoying by the end of the night!

Classy, unusual and subtly dramatic, this is a lovely leather purse for taking out in the evenings.

By using various leathers and textures, Cynthia Vincent creates a purse that should turn heads. Strips of different textured black leathers are sewn against each other to create a look which is a modern kind of patchwork. The right panel is further embellished with polished golden studs. The same textures are continued on the back, but sadly there are no studs there.

The canvas lined interior is quite spacious, lending the Annie to both evening and daytime use. While it’s larger than many clutches, the interior doesn’t take much to stay organized. That’s a good thing too, because Cynthia Vincent provides little to keep the clutter at bay.

The Annie clutch has the space and downtown style to work for almost any occasion. While it takes advantage of the current taste for studs, its modern style should endear long after this fad has faded.
