As winter gives way to spring, I’m looking to ditch my bright red leather bag for something more seasonal. This coral colored Canning Town tote from Radley may be just what I’m looking for.
That sweet shade saves the Canning Town from being passed over. It’s such a classic bag, with an otherwise unremarkable design. It’s certainly stylish, but this traditional flap style probably wouldn’t have turned heads. In this warm coral though, it’s another matter.
The kaleidoscope charm and beaded tassels make this classic tote seem a bit too busy for my tastes. Thankfully though, they’re easily removable if you prefer a sleeker look.
Radley calls this a small tote, but I’m not sure it is by modern standards. Handbags are getting smaller, and while it might have been seen as small once, today it’s at least mid-sized, if not large. It’s got all the space you could want, and with two main compartments there’s no excuse for becoming disorganized.
The final clincher for me is the price. At $258, this Radley Canning Town tote is a very affordable way to add a bit springtime cheer to your wardrobe.

Devi Kroell’s not letting the grass grow around her feet. After
Ever since the first summer accessories started to trickle into the fashion magazines, we’ve been looking forward to warmer weather. The snow storms blanketing much of the United States don’t help matters either. But it seems that winter has well and truly set in, so we might as well embrace it. Puma helps us do that with this funky Ice satchel.
Most of us envy the celebrities, and their bank accounts that allow them to pick up the handbags we’re all coveting. But it seems that not every star is splashing cash around on It bags. Actress Diane Kruger recently admitted it took her six years to make her first big purchase!
Proenza Schouler does the utilitarian look well, but in time all of its handbags start to appear the same. So I’m thrilled to see the label step out of the box with this Mochila satchel.
Yves Saint Laurent is one of the most long-standing French fashion houses. It’s definitely had its ups and downs over the years, but for the most part, the YSL name has remained relatively synonymous with chic glamor. This Y cork and leather clutch is a great example of the line’s signature combination of innovation and traditionalism.
The Jimmy Choo label is the unofficial prince of posh urban style. It has sort of a pared down bohemian aesthetic that works well for more conservative women. This Rosalie bag, unfortunately, looks too much like the iconic Hermes Birkin for me to think it’s very interesting.
Turtles. Is there anything better for cheering you up on a long and miserable Friday afternoon?
I’ve seen some glitzy handbags from Prezzo, but this Multi Sequin Hobo really takes the cake.
