H&M has recruited Matthew Williamson for its latest designer collaboration. The Swedish fashion retailer will release a women’s Williamson collection on April 23, with a men’s and women’s summer line scheduled for mid-May.

The British designer is known for his vivid prints and Indian influenced style. His colorful collections are favorites of celebrity style icons Gwyneth Paltrow and Keira Knightley.

“Matthew has such a good eye and a way for working with prints that he mixes up in a new way. When he combines these things, you get a very contemporary London look,” H&M creative adviser Margareta van den Bosch said in a statement.

Matthew Williamson is also excited about pairing with the fashion store.

“I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world,” he said.

H&M has a long history of collaborating with fashion designers including Stella McCartney, Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, and most recently, Comme des Garcons’ founder Rei Kawakubo.

Master handbag designer Karl Lagerfeld has created a set of collector coins to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Coco Chanel’s birth.

The coins are stamped with an iconic image of Coco Chanel wearing her trademark flat bow hat. Her classic profile is bordered by the name Coco and a chic string of pearls. The coin’s flipside features Chanel’s signature quilted pattern, the very same one featured on its most famous purses.

Four unique coins will be minted, two in silver and two in gold. Each will come in a denomination of five euros, as a tribute to Chanel’s signature No. 5 scent. Of course, you’ll pay a lot more than that for the the privilege of owning one. The five-ounce gold coins will sell for a whopping 5,900 euros or $7,450! For that price, I’d much rather buy a Chanel handbag or two!
