Those celebrity guests just keep on coming for Ugly Betty. New York handbag designer Zac Posen is the latest fashion face to step onto the set of the ABC comedy series.

Zac has already filmed his episode, but he’s staying mum on exactly what his role will be. It will hopefully be a substantial one though as it required a full day’s filming. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some serious interaction with America Ferrera’s brace-faced Betty Suarez!

“It all came together rather last minute. I had just canceled my three-day trip to Paris, and they called me to do it. My call time was 9 am, and I stayed all day,” Zac told New York Magazine.

Zac joins other Ugly Betty designer guests Vera Wang, Isaac Mizrahi, Kenneth Cole, and Christian Siriano. And let’s not forget the appearances of modern style icons Lindsay Lohan, Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, and Adriana Lima. The storylines may have become a bit over the top in recent years, but when it comes to booking the big fashion names, Ugly Betty gets it so right.

The latest Christian Dior advertisement for its iconic Lady Dior handbags has been unveiled! This stunning ad features Academy Award winning French actress Marion Cotillard perched at the edge of the Eiffel Tower.

It all seems pretty dangerous, especially in those heels, but Marion looks cool as a cucumber clutching her black Lady Dior purse and wearing a sexy John Galliano dress from the spring line.

The effect of Marion all dressed in dramatic black with that amazing Parisian backdrop is simply magical. Full credit goes to photographer Peter Lindbergh who’s captured a breathtakingly beautiful image of the actress and her leather bag. Who cares if he’s had a little help from Photoshop to get the composition just right?

This is the first of four ads Marion shot for Christian Dior, and it’s made me hungry for the rest. Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long. The series will start to grace the pages of our favorite fashion mags in January.

But, the Marc by MJ Dr. Q Lil’ Riz is as sophisticated as many in the more expensive sister collection. The shape of the Lil’ Riz strikes an elegant balance between structured and slouchy that makes it the perfect accessory for this fall’s grunge-chic aesthetic.

The range of colors available means that each bag has a slightly different appeal. The light brown is a little bit country, while the black is definitely rock n’ roll. The pale peachy coral version has a distinctly retro 80’s vibe, and the grape color shown here has a richness that makes it seem a little more mature and ladylike.

The size is large at 14″ x 15″ x 4″, but not distractingly so. The single rolled leather strap has a 8″ drop, so it fits comfortably over your shoulder, and stays close to your body. The platform bottom adds sturdiness to the traditional hobo shape.

The pleated details really set off the suppleness of the leather, and the foldover top is a nice touch.  It’s really too bad that the enameled front logo plate is so large and ostentatious, as it does take away from the bag’s upperclass appeal.

This is a youthful daytime bag for a hip girl with places to go and a lot of stuff to carry.

Although Kate Spade is known for fun prints and shapes, the Paige bag is definitely on the more grown-up side of her collections. Devoid of anything fussy or cluttered, this designer bag is modern with its clean lines and minimal hardware.
