Michael Kors has had a pretty great run this season, particularly if you take into consideration his diffusion line, MICHAEL. He seems to be moving in a hipper, more minimal direction, and staying away from the kind of overembellishment that a lot of designers have gotten sucked into. This sleek metallic python clutch is some of his best work.
Python is one of the most luxurious materials around, and it is made even more so with this glittering gold finish. It’s metallic, but matte enough that it doesn’t look over-the-top. That being said, the finish is super eye-catching.
Despite their slim, and somewhat impractical design, envelope clutches are one of my favorite styles. There’s just nothing more simply elegant than this delicately seamed design. It fits in the hand nicely, and although it won’t hold much, will never be a burden on an evening out.
$595 is a remarkably reasonable price tag for an exotic accessory, especially one as timeless and classy as this one.

Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers label is nothing if not reliable. Its bags are never fashion forward, but they still manage to tempt us with their cutesy prints.
