Soft, slouchy and utterly divine, this is one clutch that just begs to be clutched!

Whilst many Mary Frances handbags can be too over-the-top, I think the Ocean Drive clutch manages to stay just the right side of decadent. The dramatic tribal beading and stunning pattern mean it is certainly fancy, but the slouchy shape makes it much more accessible and less ridiculous.

Of course, that shape doesn’t mean that you no longer have an evening bag. In fact, the limited space and signature decoration mean this couldn’t really ever be a day bag. Instead, the wrist strap handle and metallic leather make it night appropriate.

Mary Frances Accessories are rarely bargain basement, and this clutch is no different. However, it is the sort of bag that you can get more than one night’s wear out of, unlike many of her more surreal creations!

Juicy Couture has always been known for bold, brash designs, and this in your face tote For Nice Girls tote is a prime example of the way it got that reputation.

This tote proudly proclaims that Juicy Couture is “for nice girls who like stuff.” Something tells me that nice girls would prefer something more subdued than this obnoxiously branded bag, but that matters not. It’s the kind of slogan designed to make the wearer feel good about herself, and it achieves that.

The colorful slogan is what makes this tote a bit more special. Strip it away and you’ve just got a fairly drab, simply shaped carry-all. It’ll do the job, but it won’t do it with any real style.

There are a few practical perks that I didn’t expect from such a basic looking bag. The interior has a zippered side compartment and a handy cell phone slip. It’s spacious, and its hidden snap closure keeps the items you’re toting safely inside.

At $78 this is an affordable tote, even if it’s not all that exciting.

Katie Price, the British celebrity otherwise known as Jordan, has launched a new horse-focused fashion line called KP Equestrian. Amongst the items on offer, the collection features two different shopping bags.

Customers can choose the KP Baby Carrier bag, made from stiff pink paper with ribbon handles, or the KP Equestrian Carrier Bag, which is made from black paper and adorned with pink rope handles.

At two pounds apiece these are cheap accessories, but let’s face it. Paper bags are the kinds of things that most retailers give their customers free with purchase. Even the stiffest paper won’t last for very long, so you shouldn’t expect these KP Equestrian shoppers to survive more than a few outings. That’s especially true if you’re planning on loading them up with groceries, or anything else you’d put inside a regular shopper.

I don’t even care that Katie Price has discounted her shoppers to £1.54 for a limited time. They’re still ridiculously overpriced, even with that “celebrity bag” tag attached.

Few designers divide opinion on BagBunch as much as Judith Leiber. Her minaudieres are extravagant, luxurious, quirky, and often downright ridiculous. But I think she may have hit on a winner with the Chatelaine.

There’s nothing subtle about this leopard printed, crystal encrusted purse, but nor should this be. No one carries Judith Leiber if they want to fade into the background, and no one spends $3695 on a purse if they don’t want it noticed.

Having said all that, this Chatelaine purse could have appeared so much more ostentatious. I appreciate that Judith Leiber has opted for pastel gemstones to temper the leopard spots. And the restraint of that unadorned golden clasp makes me swoon.

It goes without saying that this isn’t the purse to carry unless you’re traveling light. It’s small, and its hard case means overstuffing is out of the question. That clasp will simply pop open if you ever try to sneak a few extra items inside. The chain strap gives a hint of functionality, but this really isn’t a practical purse.

The best part of a fancy evening out though is that you don’t have to be practical. So grab this purse and those painfully uncomfortably Christian Louboutin heels and prepare to dazzle!

The X Factor’s Dannii Minogue probably has plenty of enviable possessions, but there’s none she loves as much as her black Anya Hindmarch Ebury bag.

The purse was a gift from her famous singing sister Kylie, who even left a personalized message inside.

“I have a treasured Anya Hindmarch Ebury bag, which my sister gave me. It has a personal message in her handwriting printed in gold on the inside. We also bought one for our mum with printed messages, too,” Dannii explained recently to Glamour Magazine.

“These bags are not only wardrobe classics, but will become family heirlooms. OK, with three grandsons in the family, Kylie and I will have to start getting to work on producing a girl.“

Clearly all those sleepless nights with her son, six-month-old Ethan, haven’t put Dannii off the idea of having more children. Although judging by those comments, perhaps Kylie will be the next one to expand the Minogue clan!

Joe’s Jeans is one of those rare handbag designers that rarely seems to put a fashionable foot wrong. The Joseph is another example of the label’s commitment to excellent everyday accessories.

The Joseph ignores the current trends, preferring instead to offer a more timeless appeal. It’s a bit more rounded than your average bucket, and its supple lambskin body sees it slouch a little more, but all this only adds to its casual everyday looks.

The zippered front pocket draws the eye, while providing a convenient place for stashing car keys or other items you need on hand. This compartment is the centerpiece, although it’s ably supported by tiny pinhead studs and contemporary stitching and seams.

While Joe’s Jeans always creates bags that look impressive, but it never forgets functionality. The Joseph is the ideal size for everyday use; not so big that it’ll overwhelm you, but not small enough to limit what we can carry. Leather trim makes its pockets durable enough to withstand everyday use, while the twill lining is similarly tough.

With its classic good looks and sensible design, it’s hard to find better value in an everyday bucket bag than this $250 Joe’s Jeans accessory.

Prada is the latest luxury label to offer a personalized monogram service. From January 15, customers can have their Prada purses customized with big varsity-style letters.

The brightly colored lettering doesn’t look very high class, but it is high quality. Each initial is made from Prada’s iconic saffiano leather. The monograms can be applied to any of Prada’s totes, backpacks, and trolley cases made from the complementary saffiano leather or camo prints.

The playful lettering style seems at odds with the French fashion house’s luxurious image, so I wonder how its fans will respond to the monogramming. I suppose it’ll make it easier to spot your trolley case at the airport baggage claim turnstile, but I’m still not convinced.

Prada’s made-to-order monogram service will be available online and through selected Prada stores from January 15. Prices are available upon request, which tends to make me think this service won’t come cheaply. After all, if the prices are reasonable, you would want to show them off.

Orciani may be a little known brand, but it is certainly making fashion waves with designs like this studded clutch.

Whilst normally bags are decorated on the front, Orciani has turned the principle on its head by instead putting the studs on the sides. Not only does this put the soft leather front and center stage, but it also means the studs lose a little of their attitude and become a lot easier to wear. In essence, this becomes a clutch bag that is wearable and stylish.

The leather is what makes this envelope clutch quite so wearable. It conceals a couple of pouches, and also makes this pretty spacious for a clutch. It is a shame there is no handle, but this is the only thing that really holds this back.

Stylish and gorgeous, this luxury Orciani purse manages to justify the $240 with very little trouble!

Remarkable, eh? And sure, so you don’t get real leather and it may not last for a lifetime, but at that price point I simply don’t care.

With plenty of functional touches and lots of interior compartments, this is one tote bag that is stylish, affordable, and useful too!

Hornback isn’t used by many designers, which is a real shame. It’s relatively affordable but also very soft, which makes it perfect for the slouchy silhouette of a boho-styled purse. The crocodile embossing adds some exotic style to this beautiful leather.

I really love the earthy brown skin, but I’m less enthused about the golden studs adorning its sides. They seem like an obvious attempt to be trendy, an accent that is simply trying too hard to fit in. Even those that love the metal right now probably won’t feel so warmly towards it in a few seasons. Let’s face it; such a richly textured leather really needed nothing to spice it up.

That trend-conscious approach also applies to the size. Just like any good boho should be, this baby is enormous. Happily that means you won’t need to leave anything behind, but don’t expect to find anything you need too quickly either. The single zippered pocket seems pretty inadequate for keeping a space of this size organized.

It has its flaws, but for just $450 this Hornback Bag is a relatively affordable way to enjoy some star style.
