I have been notably dubious about the Miu Miu line for some time. It’s just not consistent. What it seems to do well, though, is produce ultra luxe bags with a lot of personality, and this Strass bag is one of them.
I wouldn’t have really thought that this buttery yellow color would make a good shade for evening, but its paleness makes it an ideal accompaniment to bright cocktail dresses. The smooth leather is naturally glamorous, and the sleek texture contrasts well with the faceted rhinestone embellishments.
The Strass is a super simple fold-over style, which allows all the details to shine. And by details I mean the enormous amount of rhinestones. There are rhinestones on the clasp and the strap is entirely composed of them. They stop just short of being totally over-the-top, but this is still definitely a style that requires a bold personality.
At $920, I’m impressed with the price of the Strass. It isn’t exactly affordable, but it’s more so than so many bags in the Miu Miu line.

I’ve noticed an unusual trend on the red carpets lately. More and more stars seem to be trading in their box clutches for quirky egg shaped purses. If you don’t have an A-List bank account you can still indulge in the trend with this affordable Francesco clutch from Paco Mena.

Kensie Girl is one of those youth lines that makes me long for younger days. I’m not sure my adult self could get away with carrying a purse as girly as the Barby Hobo, but I’d love to try!
