Isaac Mizrahi, with his quirky and confident way of telling it like it is, will be doling out the fashion advice to listeners of his new radio show.

The project, called Isaac Mizrahi: Tell Me Everything, is set to debut on Martha Stewart Living Radio tonight at 7:00 p.m. (ET). Don’t expect Mizrahi to stick to merely one side of fashion, though. According to Martha Stewart, the host will cover a broad range of topics relating to his expertise.

“Mizrahi, a 20-year veteran of the fashion industry and recently appointed creative director of Liz Claiborne, will help people across the country discover and embrace their personal style, solve their fashion dilemmas, and illustrate that style is attainable for anyone — no matter the budget,” says the program’s website. “Show topics will include spring fashion, weddings, how to entertain on a budget, trends of today’s stylemakers from Hollywood to the White House, and other fun and fabulous tips.“

As a label, Louboutin usually goes for feminine and sophisticated, or sleek and elegant, but this purse is downright girly. This Mount Street bepetaled purse in high-voltage hot pink is just in time for spring and the fashion world’s obsession with florals.

With just a glance you can see that this bag will not be for everyone, not even for all the die hard Christian Louboutin obsessives out there. It’s too quirky and frou-frou to be on everyone’s hit list, but I have a feeling that it is going to make a big splash with many, nonetheless.

Personally, I think the pink petal-covered pouch is refreshing. The shape is soft and the simplicity of the metal bean chain makes it look delicate. The Louboutin trademark shoe clasp is an irreverent touch that walks the fine line between elegant and over-the-top.

There is nothing practical about this bag. That’s just not the point of it. It is a fun piece that will coordinate well with a sleek LBD or this seasons floral dresses. I can see a lot of women using it as a statement piece, except that the price of $1,495 is a little off-putting. Honestly, I also think it’s a little overpriced, even for such an established designer, being that is neither practical nor sturdy, nor could you use it on many occasions. Unless you’re going through an extended SJP phase and quirky is the name of your game.

Sometimes bad bags happen to good designers. That’s the only explanation I can come up with for this crocodile and fur monstrosity from Nancy Gonzalez. It’s hard to believe it came from the same mind as the one which brought us this timeless tote!

The problem is that there’s just so much going on. The details fight for attention, and nothing seems to win. Strips of Nancy’s beloved crocodile skin are woven over chocolaty suede leather for a subtly striking look. But this is the only part of the bag that shows any restraint. Tufts of colored fur clash terribly with the brown bag. They appear more like pom poms from a children’s craft project than a luxury feature. These lurid tufts sit alongside croc covered beads, which to the untrained eye appear like Froot Loops.

I’m a lot more enthused about the interior, with its lush suede lining and generous storage room. A large zippered pocket and cell phone slip are trimmed with leather to last the distance. A cool croc clasp helps to keep your precious cargo in place.

This Nancy Gonzalez tote features the high quality fabrics and functional design we expect from the designer. But only the most confident bagistas will be able to pull of such a flamboyant style!

Bottega Veneta is going to be getting some great exposure thanks for luxury retail giant Bergdorf Goodman. The store plans to pay tribute to Bottega Veneta’s elegant and timeless creations.

Bergdorf’s Fifth Avenue location in New York City will showcase many of the designer label’s items in their legendary store windows for the ultimate window shopping experience. The feature will include handbags, shoes, jewelry, apparel, and more.

The collaboration also includes a limited edition Fenice tote bag that will only be available in a very small quantity at the NYC store. Only 25 of these exclusive handbags are expected to be produced. The new Fenice will have the signature Bottega Veneta intrecciato weave with a subtle copper metallic effect.

The showcase begins with a party in honor of the design company’s creative director, Tomas Maier, and proceeds with a new display unveling in the days to follow.

Handbags, recently, have been getting more and more expensive. Something about the credit crunch seems to have inspired anti-recession pricing, resulting in bags we simply can’t dream of affording.

For those of us on a more realistic budget, however, I have found a real bargain. This Allegro bag from Zaftique is available for only $35, meaning that even the most cautious of us can probably stretch to it!

So, what makes this bag such a bargain? Firstly, it is available in three colors, which I always find to be an advantage in affordable bags like this. It means not everyone is going to have the same as you! I personally have a preference for the coffee or the black. The “garnet” would be harder to coordinate with your outfits, and the color is slightly too dusty for my love of bold prints and this season’s block color.

The snakeskin is a major selling point, as spring’s catwalk trends see some of the most beautiful bags and shoes in this most fashionable of fabrics. It also means you can dress up a day outfit without having to lug around a tote, or prance with an envelope clutch bag. It’s a great working woman’s style piece.

Of course, for this sort of money you don’t get luxury; you get leatherette and gold toned hardware. But if you can look past the components, what we have here is a very easy to use bag, perfect for summer strolls. I’m just not sure it’ll last more than one season!

Tory Burch handbags tend to have a somewhat casual but always chic look with some sort of stylistic twist. The Brewster Clutch, though fitting perfectly in that category, didn’t stand out to me as a typical Tory Burch bag. Perhaps, the lack of the signature t-shaped logo caught me off guard. Either way, though, the Brewster is still a great option for a versatile clutch for the warm months.

The thing that makes the Brewster Clutch appropriate for spring and summer fashion is the material from which it’s made. The coated cotton twill is ideal for pairing with less formal outfits, but the clutch style and the details on it will allow you to dress up a little around it as well.

Of the interesting features on the Brewster, the most striking is the assortment of leather strips on the front with gold-studded details. It reminds me of the wide collared necklaces from Egyptian jewelry. For a clutch so simple, there’s a slightly exotic look to it because of that feature.

The front flap opens to a linen lined interior with a few pockets for storage. Like many clutch bags today, there’s a handy detachable chain link strap, but I like how this one is doubled to make it thicker and sturdier. The Brewster bag comes in the mustard yellow shown here as well as a light khaki color. You can also get the same leather strip and gold-studded style in a hobo or tote. The clutch retails for $395.

Bottega Veneta has, for the past few seasons, created the handbags and accessories that fashionistas die for. In fact, the label produces garments so covetable that some might even be willing to kill for them.

And with clutches like this one, it’s easy to see why. In a perfect world, where I am a jet setter with a hundred parties to go to and a lot of money in the bank, this is the bag I would carry. I would throw it on the table at fancy restaurants nonchalantly. “Oh that?” I’d say, “It’s just a little something I picked up in Italy”. Basically, the only time I’m getting my hands on this $4,100 beauty is in a perfect world in which money is no object.

Price notwithstanding, the clutch is perfect. It’s soft, roomy, and made of completely luxurious bronze metallic python. It could work for a lot of different styles and occasions. For night, it would be great with an evening gown of almost any color, but would add an amazing punch of glam to jeans and a T-shirt.

The gently folded asymmetrical rectangular shape is simple and elegant, and really shows off the texture of the snakeskin. And the stitch detail at the corners is both gorgeous and genius. It looks great, and will totally hide the inevitable wear and tear on the corners of the clutch.

Overall, I absolutely adore this bag, and I think I’m probably not the only one. Now, if only I could afford it … stimulus check, anyone?
