The snake tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, but does this Eden Suzette purse from Lodis tempt you?
The label has kept the style of this purse simple, preferring instead to let the mottled snakeskin print do the talking. That’s a smart move, because this serpentine print is anything but subtle. It’s not the best snake imitator that I’ve seen, but there’s a certain charm to the complementary lavender and gray hues. I also appreciate that while we don’t get genuine snakeskin, we do have real leather. While this might not have the prestige of an exotic, it’ll be much more durable.
That’s a good thing, because with its large dimensions it’s tempting to load up this clutch purse. You’ll be able to fit in much more than your average evening purse, and with a zip pocket and slots for your cell phone and PDA clutter should be kept at a minimum.
Just make sure you don’t go too crazy. There’s no shoulder strap to help you out, so you’ll need to manage this purse by hand. That’s a shame, because if we could only utilize all this room the Eden Suzette could have been a great day-to-night option.
Still, at $168 the price is right for a purse which will look just as good with an evening frock or a pair of dark denim jeans.

Antik Batik’s eclectic sense of design is making a big splash amongst urban fashionistas. The line’s hip, youthful vibe is a sigh of relief in a sea of plain leather bags. The Louise borrows from current and retro fashion from many continents that comes together in a beautiful concoction.
Antik Batik is a newer line that is quickly making a name for itself. Started in 1992 by Gabriella Cortese, the line features ethnic inspired prints and designs. Sometimes these turn out looking really boho, and sometimes they come together in a fabulously rock-n-roll sort of way. This Friel bag could go either way, but I prefer to imagine it on the arm of a rock diva.
Bright, multi-colored, and coated in beads. I hate to say it, but the Babylon purse by Tango could serve well as an example to all of us for what not to do with beads.
I may be getting used to seeing luxe yet affordable designs from Jessica McClintock, but that doesn’t mean that I appreciate them any less. After all, it isn’t all too often that we see designs this pretty and evening-appropriate costing less than $40.
The name Marcela Calvet may be unfamiliar to you, but with this Capucine clutch the Argentinean label shows that it’s more than capable of mixing it with the big boys. This is the kind of purse I’d expect to see from Carlos Falchi or Devi Kroell.
Fall showers need not trouble you if you’re carrying one of the handbags from Kenneth Cole’s cheeky new charity collection. The limited edition rubber range will benefit
If Jackie Onassis taught us anything about style, it’s that nothing makes a bigger impression than a few classic elements. That’s how you create a look that’s simple, uncluttered, and timelessly fashionable. Liz Claiborne’s followed the same philosophy with this small Jackie demi bag.
Linea Pelle adds some sophisticated style to the hobo bag with the Perry.
