Louis Vuitton loving men will have even more choice this year when the French label launches its new Damier Infini collection.

The range will make its official debut at Louis Vuitton’s men’s fashion show in Paris today, but us mere mortals will have to wait until mid-August to get our hands on one. Until then, start saving your pennies for these elegant bags, including key styles like the Keepall and Porte-Document Voyage.

Because let’s face it fashion fans, you’ll need to save to own one of these babies. While no prices have been announced at this stage, the Damier Infini collection is made entirely of embossed calfskin rather than the fabric used on the similar Damier Graphite. The interiors are also reinforced and bonded to make sure each bag maintains its structure, no matter how much or how little is stashed inside. That added luxury and craftsmanship is bound to add several dollars to the price tags!

After being buttoned up with winter fashions for months, I’m looking forward to taking a more relaxed approach to style. Spring brings with it more casual accessories, and courtesy of Louis Vuitton, some Sunshine.

This is a very different kind of purse from Louis Vuitton. Its traditional brown and tan signature print is replaced with a more subtle faded monogram. That soft rose color, which seems like it’s been bleached by too much time in the sun, is another welcome change. The use of denim, rather than classic leather, is also ideal for this casual warm weather bag.

Leather is used as an accent rather than the main event here, adding a bit of structure and style to the Sunshine’s relaxed, slouchy silhouette. The tan cowhide and pale denim is complemented by vivid fuchsia strap. This handle is completely adjustable, so you can use the Sunshine as a shoulder bag or a cross-body purse.

Sadly it seems the interior is an afterthought though. Its single open pocket is inadequate for keeping the generously sized space organized. That buckle closure is also a fiddly way to keep the bag secure. I’d be tempted to leave it open if that didn’t compromise our security so much.

Considering its lack of functional features and luxury materials, the Sunshine is overpriced with a recommended retail value of $2330. But that’s par for the course when it comes to Louis Vuitton. If you’ve got money to burn, this shoulder bag is a fun way to do it.

Bebe brings pattern and texture together in this cute and affordable leopard print clutch.

A beautifully glossy patent can make the difference between a bag looking cheap and a bag looking luxurious. And, even if the bag costs just $19, a sheen like this will make it look like it cost a million dollars more.

What is perhaps most interesting about the design of this Bebe evening clutch is the leopard print underneath that shine. Were it plain leopard print it would be predictable, but the combination of spots and shine makes it more complex to look at. Still, if you aren’t an animal print fan it will nonetheless be too much for you.

The shape of this snap clutch is perhaps the main limitation. Sure, it is sleek, but that does limit you space-wise. There are plenty of pockets, which is nice, but if you want to fit in chunky items such as a camera you may struggle. Thin notes and cards, however, will be fine.

Stylish and at a very good price, why not let your inner-leopard out?

Anya Hindmarch’s designs have really expanded in the past two seasons. Her super feminine, cosmopolitan aesthetic has morphed into something slightly edgier and more urban. This stud leather bag combines a sophisticated sensibility with a tough style.

Anya Hindmarch uses great leathers, and she always seems to know which texture to use when. The black leather on this tote has been weathered slightly, but it doesn’t look beat up or broken in. It’s just textured enough to appear a little casual without taking away the dignity of the design.

The style itself is slouchy, but not sloppy, and the bag has a nice rectangular shape that holds its own. Because the studs that trim the sides are rounded off, it takes a little of the edge off the bag, literally and stylistically. Not only do you not have to worry about them snagging on your clothes, but they also aren’t too tough for your average Jane.

At $850, I think this bag is a little overpriced, but not by much. It’s a little lacking in the excitement I look for in an accessory that will cost about a grand once you figure in taxes. Still, it’s got a solid look that can’t really go wrong.

Mulberry is on a roll this season. Its classic, modern styles are really making waves with fashionistas. Embrace all things bright and beautiful with this adorable Nine West tote.

The canary yellow (or, as they so cutely brand it, Mellow Yellow) shade of the Take A Bow shopper is the first thing that catches your eye. In a Smeg-like retro shade, this PVC exterior isn’t bright enough to blind, but is still unusual enough to catch someone’s eye. In combination with the equally retro bow, it looks particularly 50s inspired, like something from Stepford Wives but without the creepy undertones.

Although it is a shame this Nine West bag isn’t leather, I am having trouble really caring. The black trim, simple shoulder bag shape, and adorable design are just too cute, especially when you find out that it costs a seriously bargainous $34.99. You couldn’t hope for a better price really, and I just hope that doesn’t mean the quality will be equally cheap.

Loop NYC Designs takes us back to the 1980s with this fun Forbidden Love cosmetics case.

I love this purse’s retro print, featuring a pretty love struck blonde with frosted pink pouty lips. The use of vivid fluorescent colors makes this purse look like it’s stepped right out of the 80s, which is undoubtedly what its fans will warm to.

After all, without the pattern this is a pretty basic cosmetics case. The shape is as simple as can be, and the interior is just the same. I didn’t really expect any compartments from a purse this small, but it’s worth noting if you need the organizational assistance.

This purse is made from a fairly cheap material, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. Luxury fabrics have no place in cosmetics cases in my opinion, as they’re likely to be stained with lipstick and nail polish before long. The material keeps the price down to $14.99, which is honestly all I want to pay for a purse that will spend most of its time hidden away in a larger tote.

It won’t hold the entire cosmetics collection of the average girl, but this retro Forbidden Love purse can handle the make-up essentials you need when stepping out. It’s not the height of opulence, but it does the job which is really all you can ask at this bargain price!

Mundi Westport is adding evening bags to its portfolio, thanks to its recent acquisition of R.P.L. Designs’ evening bag and accessories division.

The move sees Mundi Westport take the reins of labels including Jessica McClintock.

“The acquisition provides us with a running start into a brand new category, one which we feel has significant growth opportunities,” said Kevin Ross, the president of Mundi Westport Group.

The Mundi Westport evening bags will be reasonably priced between $25 and $75. That’s great news for anyone who doesn’t have a crowded social calendar, as no one wants to spend a fortune on a purse that will only enjoy a few outings!

Mundi Westport has been a force in casual handbags, belts, and other leather goods, but these everyday accessories require a very different approach to nighttime purses. Do you think the label can successfully turn its attention to the more high class world of evening bags?

I’ve never been Longchamp’s greatest fan, but the fashion house may have won me over with this classic Gatsby satchel.

The rich carmine leather makes a lavish change from the nylon the French label typically employs. It works well with the structured shape to create a satchel which is classic, yet eye-catching. It’s a real departure for the brand. In fact, if it didn’t have the jockey embossed on the front pocket I wouldn’t recognize that it came from the Longchamp stable at all! For someone who’s rarely inspired by Longchamp’s creations, that’s a very good thing.

Thankfully the label doesn’t let us down on a practical front. The Gatsby is well sized for everyday use, and while it’s not packed with organizational aids the zippered pocket and key clasp should do nicely. The rolled handles are a little shorter than I’d like, but the detachable crossbody strap is there to help us out when we’re on the go.

At $760, this satchel certainly isn’t cheap. But if you’ve got the cash to spare, I can’t imagine you’ll regret spending it on the Gatsby.

In this video, Rebecca Minkoff walks us through her upcoming spring 2011 collection.

The line features her traditional bestsellers, including the Morning After Bag (MAB) and MAB mini, but there are also some fresh shapes and colors for the season. I particularly like the slouchy Seduction bag and the clean Swing purse, but there’s enough variety that everyone’s bound to have their own favorites.

I’m less enthusiastic about the new studded finish, which really takes the metal discs to the extreme. It just seems a bit too trend-conscious for my taste, the sort of detail we’re likely to love one minute and tire of by the season’s end.

The new circular quilting is very cool though. Ever since Chanel made diamond quilting so iconic, it seems other designers have been replicating it. Here Rebecca Minkoff builds on that classic base and takes it in a new modern direction.

This video is a great tool for promoting her new collection. Certainly it makes more sense than those artsy short films so many labels have produced of late!
