This clutch gets its name from its large elliptical metal accent. Don’t you think it looks a little like an evil eye? Eco-label Pansy Maiden has expanded its handbag collection with a range of bags made from vegan ultrasuede. This unique material mimics soft calfskin suede but it’s 100% cruelty-free.

The vegan material substitutes animal products for 80% recycled plastic bottles. I hear it’s so soft that you won’t even miss the genuine article, whether you’re a fan of green fashion or not! The material is then colored using plant-based, non-sulfur dyes, a choice which prevents harmful chemical run-off.

Jack Georges looks to bring a bit of opulence to your everyday with this Ostrich Secretary wallet.

This wallet is crafted from genuine ostrich breast. This part of the bird doesn’t have quite as many nodules as the neck, which most designer’s favor, but that just makes it a bit kinder on the hip pocket. I wouldn’t call it cheap, but it’s not going to cost you a month’s rent either. And it’ll also age beautifully, which helps to justify that expense.

I love the skin, but its brown color doesn’t really rock my world. It’s conservative and versatile, but also a bit dull. Perhaps Jack Georges should have released a couple more color options to satisfy those of us with more daring tastes.

The interior is quite impressive though, with a whopping 16 card slots. That should be enough to hold the cards of most serious shopaholics! There’s also an ID window and a double open pocket for carrying bills and receipts. But there is one glaring omission; Jack Georges has forgotten a zippered pocket. Maybe we’ll just have to give the plastic a workout to avoid accumulating coins!

I’m not sure any secretaries could afford to spend $375 on a wallet, but if you’ve climbed higher on the corporate ladder this could be just the way to celebrate your achievements.

We all fawned over Katherine Middleton and her handsome Prince William, but it seems Kate’s sister Pippa was the real star of the recent royal wedding. She wowed us with her slinky white cowl-neck bridesmaid dress, and fashionistas have been watching her ever since!

In fact, when Pippa stepped out the day after the wedding carrying a Bristol handbag by local label Modalu it promptly sold out in stores and online. The fashion house has seized the opportunity and announced plans to reissue the bag, with Pippa’s name attached!

The newly christened Pippa is fit for high society with its luxurious pale gray leather body, elegant vintage style, and golden hardware. It’s also available in black and tan, but something tells me they won’t be nearly as popular as the shark shade Pippa carried! She teamed hers with a blue blazer from Zara and white skinny jeans, but I think the style is versatile enough to wear with just about anything, and carry almost anywhere!

Modalu is currently taking pre-orders for its very popular Pippa purse through its website ahead of its June 22 re-release. It’ll cost around $244 American dollars, which isn’t bad for a bag associated with real royalty!

J. Tiras gives us plenty of bling with the Nancy clutch.

We’ve seen so many crystal covered clutches, but I’m still dazzled by this purse. Bright and shiny things always bring out my inner bowerbird, but there are a few unique elements here that make my heart beat even faster. Those aqua blue Swarovski crystals make such a refreshing change from the traditional white gems. I also appreciate the Nancy’s rounded rectangular shape, which is both ergonomic and interesting.

I can’t help worrying about knocking the gemstones off though when clutching the purse in our hand, so I’m glad J. Tiras has also given us a metal chain. There are also a few extra stones in case you do happen to lose a crystal or two.

The leather like interior gives the Nancy an air of luxury, but it’s really like so many evening purse. The structure that makes it so elegant really restricts our storage space. You’ll need to pack carefully to even carry the essentials, so be warned.

Luckily most girls who’ve fallen for the Nancy aren’t likely to care about its flaws. After all, it looks really, really pretty!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to spend a lot of money on after-five accessories. My social calendar just isn’t busy enough to justify a purse that won’t get a serious workout. However, all too often affordable clutch purses look just as cheap as their prices. So I’m thrilled to find the Reva from J. Renee, a clutch that’s worth every cent of its $89.95 tag.

J. Renee’s used a few clever techniques to give this purse a luxurious feel. Firstly there’s the choice of fabric rather than a synthetic. Synthetic might try to imitate leather, but it never quite does the job. Fabric doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is, and the effect is always much classier. I’m particularly enthusiastic about the choice of colors, which are muted interpretations of our favorite metallics. These subtle shades might not turn as many heads, but they’re much more elegant than the brassy versions we so often see.

The silky fabric on the Reva’s envelope-style flap is gathered to create narrow decorative rivers. These pin-tucked lines are smattered with a light sprinkling of diamantes which give the Reva just a hint of bling.

This is quite a practical clutch, so you might be able to put it to work during the day too. It’s certainly offers more space than the average, but with a chain strap ready to play it never feels unmanageable. There’s also a large zippered pocket tucked away inside to help you keep things in order.

The more I think about the Reva, the more I wonder why folks spend a fortune on their evening accessories. This one does the job with style and saves more money for cocktails!

Still, the question will always remain as to whether a plain and slightly over-casual handbag like this is worth $445.

Still, price gripes aside, it is undeniable that this Chrystie Street purse will appeal to all the girls who love, love, love giant handbags. If you are into being able to fit in everything you own, then you will be fine, and the simple design means it is also suitable for people in the office, armed with folders and office bits and pieces.

This design may be lacking some of Kate Spade’s sleek lines and retro charm, but it is still a big purse with a big heart.
